Surprise!

Happy Spring, everyone! I hope this gradually warming weather is cheering everybody up into happier moods. I know for us that it's finally awaken us from our hibernation!
I wanted to throw out here that starting tomorrow, May 11th, we're accepting registration for our first annual Summer Reading Contest! That's right, folks, so if you have kids from toddler through 8th grade, sign 'em up! There's no entrance fee, and the rewards are endless! Next week I will be posting the book lists for our three individual age groups (toddler-1st grade, 2nd-5th grades, and 6th-8th grades), and for every book your child reads from our list, they receive another chance to win a fabulous prize at our Third Annual End of Summer Party on August 11th, when the contest ends.
All you have to do is let us know that your child is participating, and what age group they're in, then stop by after June 1st and let them pick out their first book for the summer! When they return the book, we'll ask them a few questions to see how they liked it, and put their name in for a drawing to win a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place prize at our end of summer party! Then they can pick out another book, and do it all again! What have you or your child got to lose? Sign up now!
Looking forward to some exciting reading competition over the summer!

We're Back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry we haven’t posted in awhile. We heard the word “holiday” and work went right out the window. We got wrapped up in all things Christmas. We had a cookie exchange which was a great success. Lots of laughing and great cookies. Santa showed up at the Library and we made ornaments for the kids to take home. We even made one for Santa Claus.

We hope everyone started the New Year off right and it is a good year for everyone.

We have a card making class scheduled for Feb. 20th from 2:00-5:00. We will be making 16 all occasion cards ( 2 each of 8 designs) for $20.00.
The class will be held here at the Library (305 Russell St) and you can reserve your spot or have any questions answered by calling (989) 981-6106 or(989)330-8909. Please come and join us.

Thanks for hanging in there with us while we enjoyed our Christmas season !!!!!!!!!!
